Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc went 1-1 at home over the weekend dropping a 4-1 decision to Richmond on Friday before rallying and defeating Knoxville 2-1 on Saturday.
Friday, December 12 (vs Richmond) - The Huntsville Havoc lost just their second game of the season Friday night with 4-1 setback to the Richmond Renegades.
Beau McLaughlin scored two goals for Richmond while Geoff Rollins and Justin Joy had one each.
Steve Cooke scored the only for Huntsville with 10:46 left in the third period.
Ryan Scott made 23 saves in the win while Ross Cherry made 14 in the loss.
Saturday, December 13 (vs Knoxville) - Travis Kauffeldt and Karlis Zirnis both scored in the third period lifting the Huntsville Havoc to a 2-1 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears Saturday night.
Knoxville led 1-0 heading into the third period on a Travis Martell powerplay goal with 1:36 left in the second period.
Travis Kauffeldt scored with 7:24 left in the third period to tie the game before Karlis Zirnins scored the game winner with 2:26 left in the game.
Ross Cherry stopped 25 shots to get the win. Andrew Gallant made 32 in the loss.
