
Havoc Adds Genovy In Trade, Lounsbury Released

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc head coach Eric Soltys announced today that the team has acquired forward Jeff Genovy in a trade with the Fayetteville FireAntz. To make room on the roster, defenseman Jonathan Lounsbury was released.
Genovy (6-2, 210) had played in 25 games with Fayetteville and scored three goals and recorded 13 assists. He played in two seasons in the CHL with the Laredo Bucks and Youngstown Steelhounds. He played in 78 games and scored 13 goals and recorded 24 assists.
He played in 131 games at Clarkson University from 2002-2006 and scored 22 goals and recorded 34 assists. He played three seasons of junior hockey in the NAHL and USHL. In 123 games he scored 36 goals and recorded 41 assists. He was taken in the third round with the 96th pick by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Lounsbury has played in 180 career games all in a Havoc uniform. The Winthrop, Massachusetts native had scored two goals and recorded nine assists this season. In his career, he has scored 14 goals and recorded 78 assists. He was serving as captain this season.

The Havoc also picked up the rights to Mike Tuomi who left the states to play in Finland. The pick-up of Genovy and Tuomi complete the trade from the summer that sent Emery Olauson to Fayetteville.
