Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks News Release

DANBURY, CT - The Danbury Hat Tricks took the ice on Thursday only 24 hours after falling to the New Jersey Titans 4-1 on Wednesday. Danbury righted the ship on Thursday, exploding for a season-high six goals, in a 6-1 victory.

The Hat Tricks opened the game with their quickest goal of the season when Hunter Young (3) buried a goal at 1:13 of the first period to go up 1-0. New Jersey would respond on the power-play later in the frame when David Posma unleashed a rocket from the point to tie the game back up at 1.

"We rode the energy from that early goal throughout the rest of the game," Said head coach Billy McCreary. "The more the puck went in the more confidence we played with."

The teams went into the second tied 1-1, but Danbury had a pair of quick goals from Boris Skalos (2) and Mike Salandra (5) to go up 3-1 into the third period.

The Hat Tricks would explode for three goals in the third. Jazz Krivtsov (3) and Miles Harrington (4) each sniped one home over the shoulder of the New Jersey netminder. Mike Salandra finished the job burying a loose puck in front of the net to give the Hat Tricks their final 6-1 victory.

The Hat Tricks had their best goal output of the year with six and tied their season-high for goals in a period with three in the third.

Next up for the Hat Tricks is a day off on Friday before embarking on a roadtrip to take on the Johnstown Tomahawks on Saturday and Sunday. The Hat Tricks will return home on the 2nd and 3rd of December against the Johnstown Tomahawks.
