Hartford Doubles up Senators, 8-4

Harrisburg scored first Thursday night, taking a 1-0 lead in the first but Hartford rallied and beat the Sens 8-4 Thursday night at FNB Field. The Yard Goats scored five in the fourth and two more in the fifth and cruised home from there. The Sens did score two in the fourth and one in the sixth to draw to within 8-4 on Nick Banks first AA home run. The Goats, though, retired the final 11 Sens to come to the plate.

On Capitol Hill

Kyle McGowin started and was the first of five pitchers for Harrisburg. He took the loss, going 3.2 innings and allowing five earned runs.

Jordan Mills faced three batters before leaving with an apparent injury.

Bryan Bonnell and Kyle Barraclough both went two scoreless innings while Jacob Condra-Bogan tossed a scoreless ninth inning.

With the Gavel

Luis Garcia had three hits, drove in a run and scored a run.

Ian Sagdal went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a run.

Nick Banks hit his first Double-A home run

Filibusters

- The Senators dropped the series to Hartford, their first series loss to Hartford.

- The teams play again in a five-game series in Hartford.

- Before the game the Senators added Andrew Istler to their roster.

The Senators play the Richmond Flying Squirrels in game one of a three-game series Friday night at FNB Field at 7 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:50 a.m.
