IT COMES DOWN TO PRIDE...
"There's a pride factor. We're going to come out swinging. If they lose that game, they're the No. 2 seed going into the championship. We want to ruin that for them." - Colonials guard Isaac Sowells.
...AND BEING A PROFESSIONAL
"It's the last game of the season. Some guys are going home, some guys are going on to the next level. Hopefully everybody comes in with a professional mindset and approaches the game the way it should be approached." - Colonials WR Pat Carter.
RETURNING TO THE RENT
The Colonials concluded their inaugural season in Connecticut on Saturday against the Las Vegas Locomotives at Rentschler Field. It is the first home game for Hartford since Oct. 16, a span of 35 days. Hartford was mathematically eliminated from playing in the UFL Championship after losing to Florida 41-7 last week in Orlando. Hartford committed a season-high five turnovers and trailed 38-0 at halftime. Saturday's season finale against Las Vegas will be televised on the Versus network with Craig Minervini and Doug Flutie in the broadcast booth. The game can also be heard on ESPN Radio 1410/WPOP-AM with Jason Page handling play-by-play duties and Joe Zone providing analysis.
AN EXCITING INAUGURAL SEASON IN HARTFORD
The Colonials opened the season with such promise, soundly defeating Sacramento 27-10 and manhandling Mountain Lions quarterback and UFL poster child Daunte Culpepper. Hartford proceeded to lose its next four games - three by five points or less. All told, the Colonials played four games where the margin of defeat was five points or less, including three nailbiters that weren't decided until the final play.
COLONIALS: MOST IMPROVED UFL TEAM?
Based on win totals, the Colonials have a chance to be the most improved team in 2010. A victory on Saturday would improve Hartford to 3-5, a record that would represent three more wins than team had last season playing as the New York Sentinels (0-6). As it stands now, both Hartford and Sacramento have won two more games this season than last year. Sacramento (4-4) was 2-4 last year playing as the California Redwoods.

Military College. He was named All Big-Ten Honorable Mention as a senior with the Golden Gophers and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Rams. After being released by St. Louis, Lawrence signed with Philadelphia and spent training camp with the Eagles until being released the final week of August.
