The Bulldogs made their annual visit to McMaster Children's Hospital on Monday. Players brought some holiday cheer to patients by signing autographs, singing Christmas carols and delivering gifts.


December 6th: at Syracuse - Crunch 5, Bulldogs 1

The Crunch struck early and often in the first period, beginning with Ondrej Palat's goal 26 seconds into the game. Brett Connolly and Matt Taormina followed with goals before Aaron Palushaj got the Bulldogs on the board at 19:42 with his team-leading seventh goal of the season. Alex Killorn and Pierre-Cedric Labrie added third-period goals for the Crunch who outshot the visitors 42-20. The Crunch was 2-for-5 on the power-play, the Bulldogs went 0-for-4.

December 7th: at Hershey - Bulldogs 3, Bears 2

Patrick Holland and Joonas Nattinen scored second period goals to lift the Bulldogs to a 3-2 win. Ryan Potulny opened the scoring on the power play at 5:48 of the first period and Mike Blunden tied the game for the Bulldogs with the man advantage at 1:57 of the second. Potulny restored Hershey's lead at 3:32 before Holland tied the game at 7:02. Cedrick Desjardins made 21 saves in a second consecutive start. The Bulldogs went 1-for-2 on the power-play, the Bears were 1-for-3.


The Bulldogs have not scored more than three goals in a game since a 6-3 win over the visiting Toronto Marlies on November 16th and have not recorded more than three on the road since a 4-3 win via shootout over the Grand Rapids Griffins in their season opener on October 13th ... The Bulldogs have opened the scoring only once in their last 18 games ... Tuesday night's visit from Lake Erie marks Hamilton's first home game since the Monsters skated to a 4-1 win on November 25th. The Bulldogs only have four home dates in December ... The Bulldogs are 8-for-86 on the power play (9.3 percent), 29th in the AHL and have allowed 18 goals in 101 shorthanded situations (82.2 percent), 20th in the AHL.


After a 15-game goalless drought RW Patrick Holland has two goals in his last three games ... After missing 11 games with a groin injury suffered in training camp, G Cedrick Desjardins has started five of the last six games, posting a record of 3-2-0 ... C Michael Bournival returned Saturday night after missing the last two games, including one with food poisoning ... Holland and C Joonas Nattinen each have two of the Bulldogs' seven game-winning goals... D Nathan Beaulieu is on a three-game point streak with four assists during that span.


RW Mike Blunden turns 26 on Dec. 15.

D Nathan Beaulieu turned 20 on Dec. 5.


The Bulldogs' holiday-themed flex packs give fans the chance to purchase 10 blue section tickets for only $99 plus HST, more than 20 percent off the regular price. The flex packs are available by calling or visiting the Bulldogs' office and at Tiger-Town Sports at Limeridge Mall. The offer ends December 31st.

The Bulldogs will present their annual Toy Toss Game at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night against the Lake Erie Monsters. Fans bringing a stuffed toy to the game will be presented with a ticket voucher good for any of the four following games:

Fans will toss their stuffed toys on to the ice after the Bulldogs score their first goal. The toys will be collected and donated to the United Way and their charitable partners.


The third installment of the Bulldogs Hockey Hour will be held live on location on Monday, January 7th at 7 p.m. at Montana's Cookhouse at 1508 Upper James Street in Hamilton.

Fans can join Bulldogs play-by-play broadcaster Derek Wills and colour commentator Al Craig as well as players and coaches as they review the past week of Bulldogs hockey and preview what's to come. The interactive setting will allow fans to ask questions, get autographs, win prizes and enjoy food and drink specials.


The Bulldogs and Hamilton Police have announced a program aimed at reducing impaired driving in Hamilton. Motorists who successfully complete RIDE spot checks will be presented with a voucher that can be exchanged for a pair of tickets to any of eight Bulldogs home games in December and January.
