Hamilton Assigns David Urquhart to Wheeling

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that defenceman David Urquhart has been assigned to the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL from the Bulldogs.

Urquhart, 26, played in 23 regular season games with the Bulldogs in 2010-2011 recording five assists and eight penalty minutes along with a +1 rating. The native of Thorold, Ontario also appeared in 24 regular season games with Wheeling this year registering nine points (one goal, eight assists) and 32 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound defenceman has played a total of 130 career AHL games amassing 23 points (six goals, 17 assists) and 78 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs will begin the second round of the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs on Thursday, April 28th at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. Game 2 will be played on Sunday, May 1st at 4:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
