Halloween with the Ice Tonight at Fieldhouse

November 1, 2013 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Indiana Ice News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - Due to inclement weather delaying community "trick or treating" activities from Thursday to Friday, the Indiana Ice would like to welcome fans and families to join them for an extended Halloween extravaganza as they host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders from Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7:05 pm.

Indy is coming off their first back-to-back set of wins last weekend as they defeated the Dubuque Fighting Saints 5-3 on Saturday from Pan Am Pavilion and the Des Moines Buccaneers 6-1 on Sunday from Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Jason Pawloski was in net for both wins, recording a season-high 38 saves in Saturday's match against the Saints while Scott Conway finished the weekend with four points (3G, A), including a three-point night against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

This will be the first contest of the season between Indy and Cedar Rapids. Despite being on the short end of a 3-1-0 record against the RoughRiders last season, Indy was victorious in their last meeting with a 1-0 shutout performance in mid-March. Anderson Snair registered 22 saves in net while Matt Krug (Union-ECAC) tallied the game-winning goal.

Tonight's game is presented by Stifel Nicolaus and will feature Halloween-themed contests and promotional events throughout the night including costume contests and a variety of fun activities.

Ice mascot, "Biggie," will be greeting fans with candy and will be available for pictures before the game. Intermission events will include a costume contest and a mummy wrapping.

Those fans that use the hashtag #HockeyHalloween on Instagram or Twitter will have a chance to drop the ceremonial first puck at the game. The winner will be chosen by "Biggie" and will be announced via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at 6:30pm. If you are selected, please meet an Ice representative at the Ice Information Table on top of the stairs in the main concourse. Find us on Twitter @indianaice, Instagram @indiana_ice_hockey and Facebook Indiana Ice.

Season and group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
