Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will take on Union Omaha at Future Legends Field Saturday looking to snap a three-match losing streak.
"We just need to simply go back to the basics," Hailstorm FC head coach Éamon Zayed said. "The things that got us 12 games unbeaten and seven clean sheets from 11 to start the season."
Hailstorm looked to be back in the win column last week, holding a 3-1 lead in the second half against Lexington SC before conceding three times in the final half hour and lose, 4-3.
"We need to work hard, defend as a team. We're still scoring goals, so once we bring that back we'll be fine," Hailstorm defender Arthur Rogers said.
To bounce back, Hailstorm will have to overcome an Omaha team that has won three straight matches and climbed to fourth in the USL League One table, just one point behind Northern Colorado.
"Simply put, Omaha are the most in form team in the league at the moment," Zayed said.
Despite the strength of their opposition, Hailstorm said they are confident of getting back in the win column at Future Legends Field, where they have won six of eight matches this season.
"That's the plan, yeah, in front of our brilliant fans," Rogers said.
Hailstorm and Omaha kick off at 7 p.m. Saturday at Future Legends Field.
