
Gwinnett Majic Roll Past Marietta Storm, 128-118

The Gwinnett Majic (3-2) opened up a 19-point lead after three quarters and cruised to a 128-118 win over the Marietta Storm in a World Basketball Association Exposure League (WBA) game Thursday night at Dacula High School in Dacula, Ga.
Marietta (1-3) led 32-26 after the opening quarter, but Gwinnett came back and outscored the Storm 31-19 in the second period to lead 57-51 at halftime. The Majic stretched their lead to 96-77 by the end of the third quarter and held on to the victory from there.
Reigning WBA Most Valuable Player B.J. Puckett led the Majic with a game-high 45 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. The 45 points are the most scored by a WBA player this season. Marcus Brown had 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Javon Randolph had 19 points, 15 assists and five rebounds, Patrick Shokpeka filled the box score with 14 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists, Adrian Borders tossed in 13 points and Reggie Anderson chipped in 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Parrish Brown paced Marietta with 31 points, six rebounds and six steals. Lance Perique had 23 points and six rebounds, Tay Barber pitched in 16 points and five assists, Casey Love and Darnell Cox had 11 points apiece and John Thomas finished with 10 in the loss.
The WBA Exposure League serves as a training ground to develop players on and off the court. Emphasis is placed on exposure, development, community involvement, and most importantly providing an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment. Hundreds of former WBA Players
have gone on to play professional basketball all over the world including the D-League and NBA.
