
Florida Flight Falls to Jacksonville Bluewaves 134-105

The Jacksonville Bluewaves outscored the Florida Flight 40-19 in the first quarter and never looked back, coasting to a 134-105 win Friday night in Kissimmee, Fla.
The victory keeps the Bluewaves unbeaten at 5-0, while the setback evens the Flight's ledger at 2-2.
The Bluewaves outrebounded the Flight 54-32 and had a huge advantage at the free-throw line, netting 37 of their 42 attempts, while the Flight connected on just 15 of their 32 tries.
Ed Horton set the tone for the night, scoring 23 of his 25 points in the first half for the BlueWaves. Mike Sturns then took over after the intermission with 22 of his game-high 29 in the third and fourth quarters. Rashard Brown gave Jacksonville a huge lift off the bench, dominating the paint en route to a 15- point, 20-rebound effort in just 31 minutes of action.
The Flight were led in scoring by Alex Hill, who tossed in 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting; and the tandem of Dwayne Foreman and Trevor Bing, who had 15 each. Bing left the game late in the fourth quarter with a knee injury.
Foreman had a game-high 10 assists, while Ernest Jones chipped in with nine of his own.
The WBA Exposure League serves as a training ground to develop players on and off the court. Emphasis is placed on exposure, development, community involvement, and most importantly providing an exciting brand of basketball and entertainment. Hundreds of former WBA Players have gone on to play professional basketball all over the world including the D-League and NBA.
