
Gusse Stands Tall Against Juniors

Montreal, Quebec - The Montreal Juniors were in Rouyn-Noranda to play the Huskies, with the home team winning by a 5-1 score.
The Huskies came out strong, with Alexandre Comptois scoring his 15th of the season at the 4:27 mark of the first period. His teammates Gabriel O'Connor (5th of the season) and Jessyko Bernard (22nd of the season) followed suit, giving the Huskies a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.
In the second period, the Huskies kept the momentum going, with Gabriel O'Connor scoring his 6th of the season, and 2nd of the game, at the 4:55 mark. The Juniors would answer back, with Xavier Ouellet scoring his 8th of the season half-way through the period.
The third period proved to be a defensive one, the lone goal coming off the stick of Huskies' forward Jérémi Janneteau, his 14th of the season.
Rouyn-Noranda goaltender Robin Gusse was the difference in the game, on the strength of saving 37 of 38 shots, while Jean-François Bérubé (MTL) stopped 15 of 17 shots in relief duty for Ãtienne Marcoux (MTL), who had turned away 5 of the 8 shots fired his way. Robin Gusse (ROU), Alexandre Comptois (ROU) and Gabriel O'Connor (ROU) were respectively named first, second and third star of the game.
After an afternoon showdown Sunday against Val d'Or, the Juniors next home game will be played on Friday, March 11th at 7:05pm against the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
