Gunslingers Bring in New Head Coach to Rejuvenate Team

Lubbock, TX, November 2, 2005 - The Lubbock Gunslingers, a Professional Indoor Football Team, eagerly await the 2006 season with Edward Jenkins as their new head coach. Jenkins is the former Assistant Coach of the Gallarate Kings of the Italian National League, where he assisted in leading the franchise from a 2-14 record to a 10-6 record and playoff berth in one season.
Jenkins has had a successful coaching career, both and off the field, leading college and professional level football programs since 1998. His experience includes Defensive Coordinator for the Roanoke Steam of the Arena Football League 2, Head Coach and General Manager of the Boise Stallions* as well as Head Coach and Director of Football Operations for the Shreveport Bombers*.
Coach Jenkins' top coaching priority is to have a strong relationship with the players at all times creating unity and strength for the team. "Jenkins on-the-field training and behind the scenes relationship building is what we have been looking for in a head coach," Gunslinger owner, Todd Hurd stated, "We know that team unity is essential in winning football games."
Todd Hurd and General Manager, Tiffany Hurd, have been working closely with Jenkins, developing the team's strategy and solidifying the Gunslingers' goals for the 2006 season. "My goal is to form a professional indoor football team that Lubbock can be proud of; a team that exemplifies hard work and dedication, which is what Lubbock is all about," said Jenkins.
