NEHRLING RECALLED TO ALBANY
Glens Falls, NY â The Adirondack IceHawks of the United Hockey League (UHL) today announced that defenseman Garry Gulash (GOO-lash) has been re-assigned to the club by the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team also announced that defenseman Lucas Nehrling (NAYR-ling) has been recalled to the AHL's Albany River Rats.
Gulash, who has played only one game with Adirondack since being acquired from the Quad City Mallards on March 11th, accumulated 19 penalty minutes in three contests with Saint John during a pair of recalls. The three-time UHL All Star will be in the IceHawks' lineup tonight when the team faces the BC Icemen in Binghamton. Adirondack received Gulash along with center Keli Corpse in exchange for center Kevin St. Jacques in last week's trade with Quad City.
Nehrling has posted one goal and two assists along with 189 penalty minutes in 24 games with the IceHawks this season. The blueliner has also skated 21 games for Albany this campaign. Nehrling was assigned to Adirondack on March 14th after his previous recall to Albany.
