Guggenberger Named CHL Goaltender of the Week

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 21) -The Central Hockey League announced on Tuesday that Mark Guggenberger has been named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending February 19, 2012. This is the first weekly award for a Brahmas' player this season.

In four games, Guggenberger made 97 saves on 98 total shots faced (.990 save percentage, 0.25 goals against average) en route to a 4-0-0 record. The Brahmas' rookie netminder recorded a franchise-best three straight shutouts and set the CHL mark for consecutive scoreless minutes (238:31), passing John DeCaro's record set in 2007-08. The 2012 All-Star goaltender (15-4-3) leads the CHL in save percentage (.929) and GAA (1.88) thus far in 2011-12.

Hooters Tip-A-Waiter Night

On Wednesday, February 21 from 7:00-9:00pm, the Brahmas will host Tip-A-Waiter Night at Hooters in North Richland Hills. The Brahmas' players will wait tables for charity, with all tips benefiting the Community Enrichment Center.

Gametime Changes

The start times for the Brahmas' games versus the Tulsa Oilers at the NYTEX Sports Centre this weekend have been changed. Please note that on Saturday, February 25, the game will begin at 7:45pm rather than 7:30pm, and on Sunday, February 26, the game will start at 5:30pm instead of 4:00pm.

VIP Parking at Fort Worth Faceoff

For the Brahmas' games at the Fort Worth Convention Center on March 2 and 3, season ticket holders and sponsors with VIP parking passes can use them at the official Brahmas' parking lot (Atlas) at the corner of 9th Street and Calhoun Street (just one block east of the Convention Center). General parking is also available at the Brahmas' lot (Atlas) as well as in other lots in close proximity to the arena.

Brahmas Alumni Game

On Saturday, March 3 at 4:00pm at the Fort Worth Convention Center, the Fort Worth Fire and Police All Stars will face off against the Brahmas Alumni in the 2012 Brahmas Alumni Game. Former players from the Brahmas will come together to face off against Fort Worth's finest to celebrate the Brahmas' weekend return to Cowtown. A roster of participating players will be announced next week. Season ticket holders can attend the game at no charge. General admission tickets will also be available for $5.00.
