Mississauga, ON - The Steelheads hosted the Guelph Storm at 11:00am today for their annual School Day Game, in front of an energetic crowd of 3,514. The Steelheads reached out to schools across the GTA, for a chance to come check out a game during the day. Before the puck even dropped, the building was buzzing with energy. On the ice, Guelph jumped out to an early lead, when Cody McNaughton put one past Steelheads goalie, Spencer Martin at 4:42. The visiting team continued to roll from there, posting 2 more goals in the first period to secure a 3-0 lead heading into the first break. Despite the rambunctious crowd, the visiting Storm continued to dominate throughout the second period, putting up another 2 goals to give Guelph a 5-0 lead.

In the end, the Steelheads picked up their play in the third but weren't able to get a shot past Storm goalie, Garrett Sparks. The Storm cruised to an 8-0 victory, adding 3 additional goals to close out the third. Guelph players, Jason Dickinson, Cody McNaughton, and Garrett Sparks were the Molson Three Stars, while Steelheads Josh Burnside was awarded the Dickies Hardest Working Player of the Game award.
