WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY (August 7, 2018) - Bryce Brown's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth gave the Hudson Valley Renegades the winning run in their 5-4 victory over the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season, Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, Tuesday night in the series finale at Dutchess Stadium. The Cyclones were swept and walked off all three nights of the set.

BIG MOMENTS

With the game tied 4-4 in the ninth, Bryce Brown banged a hard grounder up the middle, plating Adrian Rondon for Hudson Valley's winning run against Ronald Sanchez.

Facing early defeat, Brooklyn tied the game in the top of the ninth, scoring on a Renegades error and Brian Sharp's sac fly.

Anthony Dirocie collected an RBI triple to open the scoring in the game, driving in Wagner Lagrange in the third inning.

Brooklyn lost on a walk-off three consecutive nights, getting swept for the second time this season.

The Cyclones entered the series 2.5-games behind the Renegades, and sit 5.5 games back with six more contests versus Hudson Valley.

The Cyclones return home Wednesday through Friday against Connecticut, playing at the Brooklyn Jefes.
