FRESNO, CA - The Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the 2010 World Champion San Francisco Giants, announced their December schedule of community appearances on Thursday, including holiday parades, Salvation Army bell-ringing, and the Grizzlies Gift-Giving Tour.

The Grizzlies will begin their holiday parade tour on Saturday, December 4th as their lovable mascot Parker and friends will visit the Toyland Parade in Sanger at 11:00am and the Children's Electric Christmas Parade in Clovis at 6:30pm. Parker will be back out the following Saturday, December 11th for the Children's Christmas Holiday Parade in Fresno at 10:00am and the Pageantry of Lights Parade in Kerman at 6:00pm.

The organization has once again teamed up with the Salvation Army to support their annual Kettle Drive. Grizzlies representatives will be on hand bell-ringing in front of Sports Authority in River Park from Tuesday December 21st through Wednesday, December 22nd from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

Grizzlies season ticket holders will also help the organization's community outreach efforts by donating toys during the annual holiday party at the 600 Club at Chukchansi Park. In 2009, more than 300 toys were collected by the Grizzlies and distributed to children at community organizations and hospitals throughout the Valley. This year's Gift-Giving Tour will take place Wednesday December 22nd through Thursday, December 23rd from 10:00am-3:00pm each day.

"We are proud to show our continuing commitment to the Central Valley and share in the giving spirit of the holiday season," said Grizzlies Director of Community Relations Danielle Witt.

The Fresno Grizzlies will begin their 10th season at Chukchansi Park on Thursday, April 7th, 2011 when they welcome the Las Vegas 51s to downtown Fresno. Season ticket and mini-plan packages are now available at the Chukchansi Park Box Office or by calling 559-320-HITS.
