The Gateway Grizzlies are looking for National Anthem singers for the 2012 home season. If you think you have what it takes to perform the National Anthem at a Grizzlies game, come to GCS Ballpark on May 3rd for an audition. The Grizzlies will be holding an open tryout from 11 A.M. - 4 P.M.
People of all ages are welcome. It can be individual singers, a group of singers or people than can perform the anthem in other ways.
Fans should come to the Grizzlies ticket office on the day of the tryout to sign in. It's an open tryout with no reservations allowed. Therefore, there may be a line to perform.
Fans are also asked to look at the Grizzlies 2012 home schedule before coming and have available dates ready to go in case they are asked to perform at a Grizzlies game.
The Grizzlies will also be accepting video and audio submissions from now until the end of the 2012 season. Prospective National Anthem singers can send those clips to izzythegrizzlie@gmail.com.
The Grizzlies open their season on May 18th against the reigning Frontier League Champion, Joliet Slammers. Single game, season and group tickets are on sale now. For more information call 618.337.3000.
