Griggs Called to CHL Denver

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that goaltender John Griggs has been loaned to CHL Denver. There is no timetable for his return.

Griggs, 25, joined the RiverKings in a trade with the Pensacola Ice Flyers earlier this month. In two appearances with the RiverKings, Griggs posted a 1-1-0 record with a 1.51 goals against average and a 93.6 save percentage. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound netminder from Barrington, Ill. had a 5-7-1 record in 15 games earlier this season with Pensacola with a 2.83 goals against average and an 89.7 save percentage.

The RiverKings hit the ice on Friday, February 28 at 7:05 p.m. against the Pensacola Ice Flyers. It's Friday Night Teen Night where teenagers receive a red-level ticket, popcorn and a soda for $10 available exclusively through the Landers Center Box Office.
