October 24, 2016 - West Coast League (WCL)
Gresham GreyWolves News Release

GRESHAM, Ore. - The Gresham GreyWolves, in conjunction with the West Coast League, announced the team's 2017 schedule on Monday.

Gresham will open its second season of baseball in the 11-team WCL on Friday, June 2 on the road against the Bellingham Bells. The team's home opener will then be played three days later on Monday, June 5 against the Cowlitz Black Bears, the start of a three-game series that will serve as their first homestand of the year.

The GreyWolves are scheduled to play a total of 56 games during the 2017 season, with 29 contests being played at Oslund Field in Gresham. Of the 29 home games, 27 will be against WCL opponents. A pair of non-league foes - the Thurston County Senators and West Coast Guns - will visit Gresham on July 7 and 8 to round out the schedule.

The 2017 schedule features five weekend series played at home, one of which will be played against the defending league champion Corvallis Knights from June 30-July 2. Gresham will also play 10 of its final 13 games at Oslund Field, including its final six to close the regular season.

All of the club's 16 games after the All-Star break will be played in the state of Oregon, with series in Corvallis and Bend interspersed between games in Gresham.

Unlike in their first season as a franchise, each of the 10 other WCL teams are represented on the GreyWolves' slate. The team will make all but one road trip (Victoria) and face every team but the Kelowna Falcons at home.

The 2017 campaign will feature 17 three-game series in league play, with only the home games against the Walla Walla Sweets being split into a two-game series (July 10-11) with a singleton played two weeks later.

For a second consecutive season, the WCL will be split into a North and South division. The South will feature Gresham, Yakima Valley, Cowlitz, Corvallis, and Bend, while the North is comprised of Victoria, Kelowna, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, and the new Port Angeles franchise.

Start times for GreyWolves home games will be 7:05 p.m. with Sunday contests starting at 5:05 p.m.
