Greenville Triumph SC News Release
Greenville, S.C. - The Greenville Triumph announced today that the club and Alex Cox-Ashwood have mutually agreed to terminate the forward's contract following his second season with the club. An Anderson alumnus, Cox-Ashwood appeared in 26 matches with three starts for the Triumph.
Since Cox-Ashwood penned his first professional contract in March of 2022 after coming on as a trialist, he has tallied two goals and two assists in 436 minutes. His most notable play came in 2022 when the Frenchman equalized against FC Tucson late in the second half to secure a needed draw for the club as it chased a then-fourth consecutive playoff berth.
Cox-Ashwood is expected to join the UPSL's Lansdowne Yonkers FC as the club continues its 2023 season. More Triumph roster updates for the 2024 season will continue throughout the coming weeks.
