Greensboro Swarm Complete Trade with Iowa Wolves

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today that the team has acquired the returning player rights to forwards Tyler Cook and Vincent Edwards from the Iowa Wolves in exchange for the returning player rights to guards DJ Carton and Keandre Cook.

Tyler Cook, 24, has played in 65 career NBA games over the last three seasons after going undrafted following a four-year career at the University of Iowa, including 20 games last season as a two-way player with the Chicago Bulls. The 6-8 forward earned Third Team All-NBA G League honors while playing for the Wolves during the 2021 G League single-site.

Edwards, 26, was selected with the 52nd pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz prior to being traded to the Houston Rockets. A two-time All-Big Ten performer at Purdue, the 6-8 forward played in 24 games for the Wolves last season, averaging 18.7 points per game.

Carton, 22, was a collegiate player for Marquette and Ohio State University. After going undrafted in 2021, the Iowa native was a member of the Hornets 2021 Summer League roster before spending the 2021-22 season with the Swarm, where he averaged 9.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 32 games played.

Keandre Cook, 25, played for Missouri State for two seasons. The 6-5 guard played in eight games during the 2021 G League single-site with the Swarm before spending the 2021-22 season in Hungary.
