Augusta GreenJackets News Release

North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, split their doubleheader with the Charleston RiverDogs on Wednesday night.

In game one, the GreenJackets dominated. On the mound, Joey Marciano showed why he is one of the best pitchers in the SAL. He pitched six innings, giving up four hits and no runs. At the plate, the GreenJackets were able to generate offense by capitalizing on RiverDogs errors. In all they put four runs up on the board. This was more then enough as the GreenJackets pitching earned its seventh shut out of the season. The 4-0 victory gave the GreenJackets the win in the first game of the double header.
