Green Bay Blizzard News Release
Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard (1-5) are set to host the Billings Wolves (2-4) Friday night on Aurora BayCare Freeze Field at the Resch Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05pm.
The Blizzard will look to get the ball rolling in the right direction against a Wolves team that is ranked first in total defense, giving up only 200 yards and 38 points per game. Quarterback Matt Behrendt, once again will lead the Blizzard offense. He is third in the league in passing yards per game (169) and fourth in touchdowns (21). On the ground, the Blizzard running game has averaged 85 yards the past 3 games, almost doubling the numbers from the first three.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Blizzard will look to keep a struggling Wolves offense down. The Wolves come into the game last in the league in scoring (34 points per game) and yards (184.5). Pressure on the quarterback and forcing some turnovers will be the focus of a Blizzard defense who will be playing without defensive end Ryan Smith and linebacker Derek Earls due to injury.
Friday night is also Building a Brighter Future Night and Builder Appreciation Night! The first 1,000 kids 14 and under will receive a FREE Blizzard oYo mini-figure courtesy of Asphalt Seal & Repair and WFRV Local 5.+
Tickets start at just $12 and are available now at the Resch Center box office or online at www.TicketStarOnline.com. Â
