Great Promotions Planned for Busy, Three-Game Week

December 10, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, proud members of the North American Hockey League, return to home ice at McMorran Arena for three home games in four days this week.

Port Huron will host the Michigan Warriors to complete a home-and-home series Wednesday at 6 p.m. The team will then hold their first home series of the season against the Johnstown Tomahawks Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

The team has several exciting promotions planned for the week's games.

Wednesday night, children 12 & under can get a free walk-up ticket with a paid adult. Up to two children per adult can get a free ticket to the game.

The mite Falcons will skate during Wednesday's first intermission, and a special appearance by Santa Claus highlight's the post-game meet & greet and autograph session with the team.

Jackpot Friday gives fans the chance to go home with a large cash prize, as the Fighting Falcons will hold a drawing for $1 per person in attendance. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the prize! Based on the average attendance at Friday and Saturday home games so far this season, Friday's prize could be well over $600!

During Saturday's weekend finale, the Fighting Falcons are proud to hold the Teddy Bear Toss. Following Port Huron's first goal of the game, fans are encouraged to toss teddy bears and other stuffed toys onto the ice as a donation to the Toys for Kids charity. All toys collected in Saturday's Teddy Bear Toss are donated to families in need right here in St. Clair County, making this a great cause for fans throughout the Blue Water Area.

The second period of each of these games brings another chance at a big cash prize with the Chuck-a-Puck game. Fans who purchase pucks throughout the first two periods will try to toss them into a bucket at center ice. If a fan lands a puck in the bucket, they take home all Chuck-a-Puck money, dating back to November 30. The prize is currently over $170, and will keep growing until there is a winner.

Throughout this week's games, the team will hold a silent auction for one-of-a-kind Christmas warmup jerseys, which the team will wear during Friday and Saturday's games. Opening bid for these collectors items and great holiday gifts is set at just $35, with a buy-it-now price of $50.

Tickets to this week's games and any Fighting Falcons home game are available at the McMorran Arena Box Office. Tickets start at just $7 for students, senior citizens and military, and groups of 10 or more can get seats for just $6!
