Toy Drive and Teddy Bear Toss this Weekend

The Topeka RoadRunners will be partnering with Toys for Tots and the Topeka Rescue Mission on December 13th and 14th. Toys and teddy bears collected will be donated to local shelters and community members in need.
ÃâàÃâàÃâàÃâàOn Friday, December 13th, a holiday toy drive will be hosted at the RoadRunners game. Fans can donate unwrapped, new toys, which will be donated to Toys for Tots. The mission of Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is to assist the U. S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.
ÃâàÃâàÃâàÃâàOn Saturday, December 14th, The Topeka RoadRunners will be partnering with the Topeka Rescue Mission for their annual "Teddy Bear Toss." Following the RoadRunners first goal, teddy bears will be tossed onto the ice and donated to the homeless shelter here in Topeka.
ÃâàÃâàÃâàÃâàThe Topeka Rescue Mission is a homeless shelter which has served Topeka, Kansas for more than 60 years. TRM is dedicated to providing food, shelter, clothing, training and hope to homeless and impoverished men, women and children. In 2012, they sheltered 2,157 different people and provided more than 547,746 meals.
