Greensboro Grasshoppers News Release

(Greensboro, NC) The Greensboro Grasshoppers are pleased to announce the addition of Vice President of Baseball Operations, Katie Dannemiller, to the Hoppers front office staff.

Now preparing for her tenth season in professional baseball, Dannemiller has spent her career working in several capacities with Cleveland Indians affiliates, including a position with the big league club itself. Prior to joining the Grasshoppers, Katie spent two seasons as with the Lake County Captains, also of the South Atlantic League, serving as the Assistant General Manager for Public Relations.

"Katie brings immense passion and knowledge of the day-to-day baseball operations to Greensboro," said President Donald Moore. "She's a strong leader and her experiences will be of great benefit to our young staff as we move forward."

Dannemiller, an Akron, Ohio native, began her career as the Director of Community Relations with the Akron Aeros in 1996 and quickly elevated herself to the Cleveland Indians front office in 2002, working as the Executive Assistant to the General Manager.

"I am thrilled to have relocated to Greensboro and bring my enthusiasm to the Grasshoppers organization," said Dannemiller of her hiring. "The Grasshoppers are committed to the greater Piedmont area and I am looking forward to being an integral part of the continuing commitment, while facing new challenges and directing my energies toward enhancing the Grasshoppers presence."

A native of Akron, Ohio, Katie is a St. Vincent-St. Mary High School alumnae and proud graduate of the University of Akron, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Organizational Communications and a minor in Marketing. An avid golfer, Katie worked for eight years as a sales representative for Highlander Golf prior to her move into minor league baseball.

Season tickets are now on sale for the 2006 season. For more information, please contact the Grasshoppers office at 336.268.BALL or visit www.gsohoppers.com. The Hoppers open the 2006 season April 6 against the Hagerstown Suns.
