Grand Rapids Drive Hosts Skin Cancer Awareness Night

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH - The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA Development League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, will partner with Grand City Tanning, the Official Sponsor for the Drive Dance Team, to host a Skin Cancer Awareness Night on Wed. Mar. 30 as the Drive take on the Raptors 905 (Toronto Raptors Affiliate). All proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will benefit the Skin Cancer Foundation.

Grand City Tanning is committed to educating West Michigan on the dangers of indoor tanning and providing a Dermatologist approved, SAFE alternative to tanning beds. Safe tans include gluten and paraben free, 100% vegan and nut allergen free spray tans.

"Grand City Tanning is proud to partner with Grand Rapids Drive and their Dance Team for a Skin Cancer Awareness Night! With more women under 30 dying from Melanoma each year than any other cancer, we have made it our mission to educate the Grand Rapids community on the dangers of indoor tanning while offering a safe and affordable alternative. We are so glad that the Dance Team made SAFE tanning choices for their season," said owner of Grand City Tanning, Lauren Gregory.

Additionally, Grand City Tanning is hosting a Spring Break "Get Your GLO Before You Go" event starting Mar. 29 through Apr. 2. 20% of the profit for each tan will be donated to the Skin Cancer Foundation. A "Tan Swag Bag" will be given to each client who attends the event. This event will take place during regular salon hours at 3582 29th Street SE, STE 207, Kentwood, MI 49512.
