Gotham FC to Face Reigning Champions in NWSL Playoffs Semifinals

PORTLAND - NJ/NY Gotham FC continues the club's historic postseason run, as the team travels to play the reigning NWSL Champions the Portland Thorns in the semifinals of the 2023 NWSL Playoffs at Providence Park on Sunday, Nov. 5 (7 p.m. ET, CBS Sports Network).
The professional women's soccer team, featuring Olympians, World Cup champions, and NWSL champions, traveled early in the week to prepare for Sunday's match in Portland.
MATCH INFORMATION
Gotham FC comes into the match as the league's first No. 6 seed in NWSL Playoffs history to advance out of the quarterfinals into the semifinals.
Gotham FC and the Portland Thorns have met twice in the regular season, splitting results with each side earning three points on its own home field. In July, the two clubs played at Red Bull Arena, where Gotham FC defeated the Thorns 2-1 with goals from midfielder Allie Long and forward Katie Stengel. Most recently, Gotham FC fell to the Thorns 1-0 at Providence Park after a Hina Sugita header in the 54th minute.
Sunday's NWSL Playoffs Semifinal match will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
LOCAL WATCH PARTY INFORMATION
Gotham FC will host two watch parties for local fans to cheer on the club in this crucial NWSL Playoffs semifinal matchup. For the club that represents both New Jersey and New York, one watch party will take place in Brooklyn, N.Y., while the other will take place in Jersey City, N.J.
