Gorillas to hold tailgate party Saturday

AMARILLO, TX – There is nothing like a tailgate party to kick-start a sports season and the Amarillo Gorillas are inviting their fans across the Texas Panhandle to come out and tailgate prior to Saturday's game against the Lubbock Cotton Kings.

Fans can bring their own cookers, favorite grilling meet and come out to the back parking lot on Johnson Street on Saturday afternoon.

The Amarillo Gorillas host the Lubbock Cotton Kings as part of opening weekend action in the Central Hockey League. The G-men will debut their newly designed home jerseys.

Coca-Cola will be handing out C2 six-packs to all fans when they leave the Civic Center after the game on Saturday night.

Tickets for the game can be picked up at the Gorillas Hockey Office 1934 Civic Circle (just off of I-40 and Georgia); Civic Center Box Office, At Panhandle Tickets located at Randy's Music Mart, United Supermarkets and the WT Event Center in Canyon. Fans can charge by phone at 378-3096 or 242-7825.

The game can be heard live on the new radio home of the Gorillas 1440 Am The Score, beginning with the Farmer's Insurance Group Warm Up Pre-Game Show at 6:40 p.m. followed by all of the action at 7 p.m. The game will be also available on the world wide web at www.amarillogorillas.com and on www.chltv.com.
