Rayz offer free parking to season ticket holders

Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi Rayz and SMG Management Company have settled an issue that is sure to make Rayz fans happy. The two parties have reached an agreement that will offer a reserved, preferred parking spot to all Rayz season ticket holders at the new AmericanBank Center this season.

With the agreement, the Rayz and SMG, who operate and manage the new facility in downtown Corpus Christi, have guaranteed that each Rayz season ticket account will be granted preferred parking arrangements, each time they attend a game. The Rayz open the AmericanBank Center on Friday, November 5th when they host the rival Laredo Bucks in the arena's first ever event. The AmericanBank Center holds 7,495 fans for a hockey game, in comparison to the Rayz former home – the Memorial Coliseum – which held 3,455.

The reserved parking lot provides another significant reward to season ticket holders of the Rayz, who have already been treated to promotions such as "Rayz for Hire" and "Rayz Rewards" over the summer. Rayz General Manager Larry Linde said that reserved parking at the AmericanBank Center was an important item to him and Rayz fans.

"We wanted to ensure our season ticket holders that even with the new surroundings, their best interests would be served," he said. "It was important to us that we offer our season ticket holders additional benefits this season. A free, reserved and secure parking location was a luxury that many of them wanted, and now it is theirs."

The Rayz officially opened training camp this week and are less than two week s away from the start of the 2004-2005 regular season. The Rayz will have four exhibition games beginning on Thursday, October 14th. Tickets to all pre-season games at the Memorial Coliseum are only $5 and available at the Rayz office or the Coliseum Box Office on game night. The Rayz will open the all-new AmericanBank Center on Friday, November 5th as they host the Laredo Bucks. Tickets are on sale now. Rayz season tickets and group packages are also currently available.
