
Gorillas Tax-Free at Westgate Mall

AMARILLO, TX â The Amarillo Gorillas will be part of the Tax-Free Weekend activities at Westgate Mall, beginning Friday.
The Gorillas will have a booth set up near Abercrombie & Fitch, Lady Foot Locker and Limited Too with merchandise as well as ticketing and corporate information.
This will be an opportunity to kick-off the Gorillas August ticket promotion which consists of a fans purchasing two adult season tickets and receive a flex pack free. The offer is valid thru the month of August and must be redeemed at the Gorillas office only. Flex pack consists of ten tickets of the same level seating valid for the 2003-2004 regular season only.
Gorillas staff will be manning the booth from Friday thru to Sunday and there will be special appearances by the mascot Stomp.
"This is the second year that the Gorillas are going to be involved with the Tax Free Weekend at Westgate Mall and we are inviting all of our new and current fans to drop by and say hello," said Director of Media Relations Denis J. Puska.

GORILLAS BRING BLACKTOP TO DALHART
The Amarillo Gorillas Blacktop Hockey Tour rolls into Dalhart this Saturday for a visit to Rookies Sports Bar.
The Blacktop hockey tour will be set up from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and fans are encouraged to drop by and play street hockey and meet the Gorillas mascot Stomp. Gorillas merchandise and ticket information will also be available and KXIT-Radio will be broadcasting live.
"We visited Rookies last year and had a great time there," said Puska. "We have a great base of fans in Dalhart and the surrounding area and were pleased to be teaming up again with Rookies and KXIT Radio."
KXIT Radio will be back on board as a Gorillas regional media partner during the 2003-2004 season and have agreed to air Gorillas Rewind, a one-hour weekly update show that keeps fans up to date with the latest happenings of the hockey team.
The Amarillo Gorillas are preparing for the 2003-2004 season and their home opener is set for Friday, Oct. 24 when they entertain the expansion Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at 7 p.m. at the Jungle in the Amarillo Civic Center.
