Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Amarillo, TX 5/15/09 - The Amarillo Gorillas announced Friday that defenseman Jamie McKinven has been dealt to the Texas Brahmas in exchange for past considerations.
The deal finalizes a trade initiated last October, one in which blueliner Alex Greig was acquired by the Gorillas in exchange for Ryan Waldner. Greig led all Gorillas in plus/minus with a -4 while scoring two goals and collecting eight assists in 2008-09.
"Jamie played well for Amarillo last season, and we wish him the best of luck as he moves forward with Texas in 2009-10," said Gorillas Head Coach Brian Pellerin.
McKinven scored six goals and amassed 16 points in 54 games last season with Amarillo. He had six power play points and two shorthanded points during the 2008-09 campaign as well.
