Good food, good music, good hockey and fast horses will all be on hand as the Tulsa Oilers will be appearing at the Claremore Reveille's Rotary club BBQ and Boots festival this weekend at Cherokee Casino's Will Rogers Downs.
The Claremore Reveille Rotary club has partnered with the Oilers on several events, and on Saturday May 16 from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. fans can sample delicious barbecue and also get information on the Oilers upcoming 2009-10 season. Oilers' representative Jami Pate will be on hand to distribute information and broadcaster Steve McCall will emcee the barbecue contest. Fans will be able to sample a variety of barbecue dishes and vote for their favorite.
In addition, Cherokee Casino's Will Rogers Downs will have live horse racing Saturday starting at 1:30 p.m. the day will also feature simulcast racing and wagering on the Preakness Stakes, the second jewel in thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown.
Season tickets for the Oilers 2009-10 season in the BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
