Friday 9/6/13, Blues 5 Peoria 3
The Jr. Blues seemed like they were fighting an uphill battle most of the night as the Peoria Mustangs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. The Jr. Blues came out flying the second period scoring 4 unanswered goals outshooting Peoria 20-4. The Mustangs fought their way back in the third period on the power-play. Nick Belger scored a short handed goal late in the game to seal a 5-3 win. Sandro Aeschlimann made 22 saves in the win.

The Jr. Blues got off to a better start Saturday, lighting the lamp 4 times in the first period. Highlighted by goals from #25 Lammon, #14 Severson, #24 Shand, #44Roznowski and backstopped by Stefanos Lekkas the Jr Blues looked determined to put the slow start of Friday night's contest behind them. While the goal scoring slowed through the 2nd and the 3rdperiods, Lekkas continued his solid work and not allowing a single goal so far in the pre season. Jr. Blues also got goals from #8 Scofield, #20 Dekorte and #12 Kalter.
