Glens Falls, NY The last time the Golden Eagles and the Albany Dutchman played it went sixteen innings; on Sunday the Golden Eagles were leading 4-0 after four innings when the game entered a lightning delay.
I felt I threw a few good pitches, Stated Andy Cheray (Missouri State), Blake [Sydeski] called a good game. Cheray got the start for Glens Falls and had been baffling Albany hitters through the first four innings. Cheray had totaled four strikeouts and shutting out Albany through four.
The Golden Eagles got single runs in the first and second innings, and two runs in the forth. Bryan Ramirez (UTPA) got the Golden Eagles on the board with an RBI ground out in the first and Blake Sydeski (South Florida) singled home Raphael Gladu (College Lafleche) in the second.
Glens Falls tacked on two more in the forth when Gladu singled home Buddy Putnam (South Florida) and Garrett Degallier (Tacoma CC) doubled home Gladu. The game entered a lightning delay after the forth inning.
Approximately an hour after the game entered the lightning delay the umpires signaled for the game to be suspended. It will be picked up at the start of the fifth inning on July 31st before the last regular season game at East Field this season.
