Golden Eagles Dominate in Game 1, Falter in Game 2 of Twin Bill

The bats came alive once again for the Golden Eagles on Sunday evening in game one of a double header against the Amsterdam Mohawks as Glens Falls won by a final of 9-2.
The scoring started with a 5 run outburst in the first inning that begun with a Manny Forcier (New Mexico JC) lead off single. Forcier Scored on a Spencer Johnson (Missouri State) sac fly. Buddy Putnam (USF) singled home Ramon Laureano (NE Oklahoma A&M) and then scored on the Braxton Martinez (St. Louis) home run.
It was a line drive to center so luckily it had enough to get over the wall. Stated Martinez as his Home run was the first on the season for the Golden Eagles. Glens Falls tacked on one more in the inning when Blake Sydeski (USF) doubled home Garrett Degallier (Tacoma C.C.).
Both runs for the Mohawks came in the forth inning when Zimmer single home Colin Gay (Main) and Devin Wenzel (Cincinnati) singled home John Nowoski (Florida State).
The Golden Eagles scored one in the third on the Putnam sac fly to the right fielder Shane Zimmer (Canisius). Forcier singled home Sydeski in the forth to give the Golden Eagles a 7-2 lead.
I was seeing the pitch pretty good and my swing was pretty good. Stated Laureano. The scoring in game one for the Golden Eagles was capped off by a home run off the bat of Laureano after Bryan Ramirez reached on an infield single to extend his hitting streak to eight games.
I'm usually a pitcher who hits a lot of spots, but today I wasn't really hitting my spots... Stated starter Zack Hopf (Saint Peter's), I wanted to make sure I was throwing strikes, I was around the zone a lot. Hopf got the start in game one and went the distance for the Golden Eagles to earn his second win of the season. Logan Fullmer (Maine) got the loss for the Mohawks.
Amsterdam won a pitchers duel in game two as starter Rich Vrana (Marist) went five shutout innings. The Mohawks scored a run in the forth when Josh Gardiner (Radford) was hit by a pitch. They then scored two runs in the sixth when Gardiner walked and Gay grounded out to third.
Both if the Golden Eagles runs came across in the sixth when Ramirez singled home Forcier and Johnson doubled home Forcier. With his hit in the sixth inning of game two Ramirez has now hit safely in all nine of the Golden Eagles games.
