This evening the Oneonta Outlaws traveled to Glens Falls, NY to take on the Golden Eagles on a beautiful summer night at East Field. Oneonta came into the matchup with a record of 3-0, versus Glens Falls' record of 1-2.

Pitching proved to be huge for the Golden Eagles as they knocked off the first place Outlaws, allowing only two runs on four hits throughout the game's entirety. Six runs were scored between the two teams as Glens Falls won by a score of 4-2. Getting the win for Glens Falls was left handed hurler Corey Folk (SUNY Buffalo), who came into the game relieving starter Jake Doller. Picking up the loss for Oneonta was Brett Lisle another lefty out of the University of Virginia.

Jared Cheek picked up a four out save for Glens Falls.

The Golden Eagles crossed home plate first off of an RBI single from Mike Vigliarolo, while Kevin Meyers added an RBI later in the outing. Scoring runs for the Golden Eagles were Kevin Meyers (2), Danny Brennan, and Buddy Putnam.

Lisle went six innings for the Outlaws allowing three runs early on. The last run came around on a wild pick-off attempt by pitcher Ben Mordini in the eighth inning.

Glens Falls looks to improve their record to 3-2 tomorrow night at home against Cooperstown, in a night game (7:00 PM) sponsored by Colortyme. Oneonta looks to bounce back from the loss tomorrow night in Amsterdam (7:05 PM).
