Goaltender Corson Cramer earns Goalie of the Week honors
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Junior Blue Jackets goaltender Corson Cramer earned Goalie of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 26 through Mar. 4, the USHL announced late Monday.
Cramer, who was honorable mention goalie of the week the previous week, started his third and fourth games of the season. He made 82 saves in those two games, including 44 on Sunday to earn his first victory, a 2-1 win over the Tri-City Storm. For the weekend he had a goals against average of 2.00 and a save percentage of .953.
Since joining Ohio, Cramer has stopped over 95-percent of the shots he has faced, stopping 145 of 152 in four games. He has also posted a 1.76 goals-against average.
The Junior Blue Jackets face the Des Moines Buccaneers on Saturday at Nationwide Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. (ET), and the game will include an appearance by the Stanley Cup and the first 2,500 fans will receive Blue Jackets hats. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the first ever "Pack the House Night."
