Glens Falls: Glens Falls and Albany worked to a split of the doubleheader with Albany winning the first game 3-2 and the Golden Eagles winning the night cap by a score of 5-3.
Both pitchers went the distance in game 1 of the doubleheader with Spencer Hotaling (Susquehanna) picking up the win for Albany and Kevin Cowan (William Patterson) getting the loss for the Eagles. Hotaling allowed 2 runs on 6 hits and 3 strike outs. Cowan allowed 3 runs on 8 hits and 2 strikeouts.
In game 1 the Eagles got the scoring started in the second inning when Colton Montgomery (Georgia College) lifted a 2 run homer over the fence to left.
Albany responded with single runs in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings. Sean Aspinall (Azusa Pacific) got the Dutchmen on the scoreboard in the 3rd with an RBI ground out and Ernie Clement (Virginia) would tie the game with an RBI single in the 4th. Albany would get the eventual winning run in on a Cam Miller (Baylor) Sac Fly to left field.
Game 2 began much like the first with the Eagles striking first in the 4th inning again by Montgomery but this time Dutchmen pitching kept him in the yard as he had an RBI Fielder's Choice. The Eagles would add one more in the 5th on an RBI double by JQ Folena (Cabrillo).
Albany would answer back and take the lead on a 3 run inning in the top of the 6th. Cam Miller got everything rolling with an RBI single to center and Jake Hanson (Valpo) would bring in 2 runs with a single just past a lunging first baseman.
Glens Falls would make things interesting the bottom of the 7th as their first 2 runners reached base. The Albany closer Austin Foote (Indiana) would get 2 quick outs before Rich Guglielmi (Saginaw Valley State) stepped up to the plate. Foote got two strikes by the slugger before Guglielmi sent a high fastball soaring over the Centerfield fence for a walk off 3 Run Homerun.
