Northern Arizona Wranglers News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona Wranglers will close their regular season portion of their schedule on the road, in Rio Rancho, N.M., as they will battle the Duke City Gladiators.

On Saturday evening, the Wranglers and Gladiators face off for the second time this season. In their first matchup, the Wranglers protected their home field with a wild rally in the 4th quarter, scoring 23 unanswered points, and winning the game by a score of 49-41. The Wranglers currently have a 12-3 record, and they're looking to close out the season with a win. The Wranglers are already locked in as the Western Conference number two seed, however, the more momentum entering the playoffs for Northern Arizona the better.

The Gladiators hold a 7-8 record on the season, and will be fighting to win at home. The Gladiators are hoping for a Tucson Sugar Skulls loss to accompany a victory. This would move Duke City to the third seed in the Western Conference. The Wranglers could face the Gladiators for two straight weeks, but they'll be ready to win this week, thus avoiding that scenario.

The Gladiators pose a challenge to the Wranglers, as they have the top ranked passing attack in the Indoor Football League. Northern Arizona has the top ranked passing defense to combat the Duke City air attack. Three weeks ago, the Wranglers gave up a handful of splash plays to the Gladiators passing game. Despite this challenge, the Wranglers still came out with the victory.

Will the Wranglers earn the victory, finishing the regular season with an impressive 13-3 record? Come out to Hideout Bar in Prescott Valley, Ariz., to find out! Watch the game with other Wranglers fans, while enjoying food and drinks at the bar! Drinks at halftime are also half-price! Some free sandwiches, and other foods, will also be provided.
