Gladiators Advance to Western Conference Final

With Paul Flache's game winning goal at 9:03 of the second overtime session, the Gladiators beat the Louisiana IceGators 6-5, to win the best-of-five series 3 games to 1 and advance to the ECHL Western Conference Finals against the Idaho Steelheads.

The Gladiators will face the Idaho Steelheads in the third round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs after the Steelheads beat the Alaska Aces on Thursday night, 3-2 in Game #4 of the Pacific Division finals in Anchorage.

Ousting the only remaining high seed in #1 Louisiana, the Gladiators will have home- ice advantage for the remainder of the Kelly Cup Playoffs finishing the regular season with 92 points while Idaho finished the regular season with 89 points.

Game #1 if the Western Conference Final against the Idaho Steelheads will be on Tuesday, April 27th at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center while Game #2 will be on Wednesday, April 28th at 7:35 p.m. also at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

The winner of the Western Conference Final between the Gladiators and Steelheads will face the Eastern Conference Champion in the Kelly Cup Final. The Florida Everblades (84 pts.) and Reading Royals (84 pts.) meet in the Eastern Conference Final.
