Gladiators Add Defenseman Tyler Kindle

The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed defenseman Tyler Kindle.

Kindle has earned three points (one goal, two assists) in 17 ECHL games this season with Bakersfield and Utah.

The Portage, Michigan native posted 27 points (six goals, 21 assists) in 49 games last season with the Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League.

He split time in the 2009-10 season with Quad City of the IHL, Missouri of the CHL and overseas with Newcastle of the British Elite Ice Hockey League. With Quad City, he earned 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 26 games. He also recorded seven points (one goal, six assists) in 12 games with Missouri. While with Newcastle, Kindle earned nine points (three goals, six assists) in 33 games.

Kindle skated in the ECHL from 2003-04 to 2008-09 and saw action with six teams. He earned 173 points (51 goals, 122 assists) in 301 career ECHL games. He also earned six points (one goal, five assists) in seven career Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Kindle should be available for the Gladiators for Thursday's 7:05 p.m. tilt against the Florida Everblades at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
