
Gladiators acquire fullback/linebacker Marlion Jackson from Philadelphia

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Gladiators have acquired fullback/linebacker Marlion Jackson from the Philadelphia Soul in exchange for future considerations and placed WR/DB Kelly Malveaux on recallable waivers the team announced today.
Jackson (6'1", 255, Saginaw Valley State) played in six games for the Philadelphia Soul this season and lead the team with 22 carries for 54 yards. He also had five receptions for 40 yards with one touchdown. On defense, he has tallied 11.5 tackles with one for a loss, one pass breakup and two forced fumbles. In 2004 with the Soul, Jackson played in the final four games of the year. He scored four touchdowns against the Gladiators in Week 14 when Las Vegas defeated the Soul, 63-35 and finished the season with six touchdowns. He also had seven total tackles and forced one fumble.
The Gladiators hit the road in week eight as they travel to Arizona to take on Western Division rival Arizona Rattlers on Saturday, March 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT and the can be heard on ESPN Radio 920 with Andrew Siciliano and Mike Pritchard calling the game.
