Giffin Honored as CHL Player of the Week

Corpus Christi- The Corpus Christi IceRays of the Central Hockey League today announce that center Rob Giffin has been recognized as the CHL Player of the Week for the week of October 21st through October 27th. The CHL made a formal announcement yesterday honoring Giffin.

In three games, Giffin tallied 3 goals and 7 assists for 10 points, and catapulted Chris Richards of New Mexico for the league lead in scoring with 12 points. Giffin had back-to-back 4-point outings on Friday (1 goal, 3 assists) against Laredo and Saturday (2 goals, 2 assists) at Odessa, and added 2 assists in the loss against El Paso on Sunday.

The IceRays top line of Rob Giffin, Layne Roland, and John Sicinski enjoyed a career weekend combining for 24 of the IceRays ‚¬â„¢ 34 total points in three games. Playing right wing for the IceRays, Roland added 4 goals and 4 assists. Sicinski capped of the scoring with 3 goals and 3 assists. The line has scored a total of 28 points this season.
