
Gibson's Finest CFL Players of the Week Named

TORONTO - Chad Simpson, Adam Bighill, Trent Guy and Henoc Muamba were named the Gibson's Finest CFL Players of the Week for Week 13, the Canadian Football League announced today.
The four players were chosen by a panel of judges that includes former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde, now of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

RB - Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 12 @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34
Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Chad Simpson was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week 13. Simpson compiled a career high 134 yards on 19 carries and added another 58 yards on four receptions in the Bombers' 34-12 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Simpson earned his first career Player of the Week award as he helped his team to their highest offensive output of the season.

BC Lions linebacker Adam Bighill was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week 13. Bighill registered three tackles, two sacks and one interception in the Lions' 19-18 win over the Edmonton Eskimos. Bighill intercepted Steven Jyles' pass at 13:50 of the third quarter and set the tone for the Lions' second half comeback at Commonwealth Stadium.

Toronto Argonauts 10 @ Montreal Alouettes 31
Montreal Alouettes kick returner Trent Guy was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 13. Guy compiled 129 yards and a touchdown on one missed field goal return, 31 yards on two kick returns and five yards on four punt returns in the Alouettes' 31-10 win over the Toronto Argonauts. Guy's 165 total yards on special teams earned him his first career Player of the Week award and helped his team to the best overall record in the East Division.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats 12 @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34
Winnipeg Blue Bombers linebacker Henoc Muamba was named the Canadian Player of the Week for Week 13. The former St. Francis Xavier 34-12 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Muamba was a thorn in the side of the Ticat offence the entire game as he helped his team to within one game of the Ticats for third in the East Division.
