San Jose got a big insurance run in the ninth off Marshall Kasowski, as Jalen Miller's two-out hit off Logan Salow produced their fourth run of the game.

The Quakes went 1-2-3 in the ninth against Nolan Riggs, with Gavin Lux striking out to end it, also bringing an end to his league-best 19-game hitting streak. Riggs earned his third save with two scoreless innings.

San Jose starter Domenic Mazza (3-1) earned the win, allowing two runs on five hits over five innings.
