STOCKTON, Calif. - Tyler Nevin's bat came alive for four hits to lead the JetHawks to a 5-3 win over the Stockton Ports in the series rubber game on Friday night at Banner Island Ballpark.

Nevin started the scoring and ended the scoring for Lancaster (16-13, 49-50) as the club took two of three in the series and finished the season 6-6 in Stockton's home ballpark.

The JetHawks grabbed two quick runs in the first inning with Nevin driving home Colton Welker with a two-out double to begin the scoring. Vince Fernandez followed with a triple to drive Nevin home.

Stockton (16-13, 60-39) answered quickly with a two-run home run from Sandber Pimentel in the first inning against Matt Dennis (7-10). Dennis would settle in and allow only three runs over 6.2 innings to tie for the league-lead with his seventh win.

Nevin gave Lancaster the lead with a two-out RBI-singlein the third inning and added the club's fourth run with another RBI-single in the fifth inning.

The Ports got within a run in the sixth thanks to a Luke Persico solo shot, but Nevin got the run back with a solo homer of his own to lead off the eighth inning. Nevin finished 4-for-4 and drove home one run with each of his four hits.

Heath Holder, who was added back to the roster prior to the game after a brief stint in Hartford, tossed 1.1-shutout innings of relief to bridge the gap to closer Reid Humphreys. The league's save leader notched his 21st of the season with a perfect ninth inning.

Xavier Altamirano (3-2) allowed four runs over five innings to take the loss for Stockton.

Lancaster's road trip continues with a three-game series at Visalia beginning Saturday night. The JetHawks will send Brandon Gold (6-6) to the mound against Emilio Vargas (7-4). First pitch is 7 p.m at Recreation Park.
