Vancouver Giants News Release
The Vancouver Giants have been pushed to the brink of playoff elimination. On Saturday night at the Pacific Coliseum, the Kelowna Rockets did the pushing, edging the G-Men 1-0. Ryley Grantham scored the only goal of the game late in period number one and Mark Guggenberger shut the door on the Giants for the second consecutive game, turning aside 25 shots for his second consecutive shutout win.
Tyson Sexsmith was great again in goal, turning aside 22 of 23 shots. The Giants now trial the series 3 games to 2 and will need to win Game Six to extend their season. You can catch all the WHITE SPOT GIANTS HOCKEY action on AM 650. Dave Sheldon and Steve Ewen from THE PROVINCE will have the call of all the action, beginning with the TERASEN GAS pregame show at 6:30 pm. Drop of the puck from Prospera Place is at 7 pm.
